If you're planning to drive to the airport, keep in mind that Clearwater is a major tourist destination and there can be a lot of congestion on the roads around the area. If you're driving from Tampa, take I-4 West to exit 173 (University Boulevard) and head north until you reach Harrison Avenue. Turn left on Harrison Avenue and drive until you come to Bay Street. Turn left on Bay Street and drive until you reach Clearwater Airport Road. Turn right on Clearwater Airport Road and drive until you reach the airport.

In 2013, TPA handled over 45 million passengers, making it the 12th busiest airport in the world and the fifth busiest international airport in the United States.
The airport has three terminals: Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Terminal 1 is used for domestic flights and is composed of two concourses: A and B. Concourse A has three gates and Concourse B has six gates. Terminal 2 is used for international flights and is composed of nine gates. Terminal 3 is used for general aviation and is composed of one gate. The airport has a total of 30 gates.
There are several transportation options available at TPA. The airport offers a shuttle service that connects all terminals to each other as well as to downtown Tampa. The shuttle operates every 20 minutes from 7am to 11pm daily. There are also taxi services available that will take you to any destination within a 5-mile radius of the airport.
If you are flying on an American Airlines flight, be sure to visit the American Eagle Club located on level 2B in Terminal 1. The club offers a variety of services including food, drinks, entertainment and more.
If you are flying on a Delta Air Lines flight, be sure to visit SkyPort located on level 2 in Terminal 1.
